How significant are Indian American voters in the US Election 2020?

In the 2020 US presidential elections, there has been a higher than usual interest in Indian-American voters. Though Indian Americans are roughly 2% of the US population, their vote is crucial in some states

Indian Americans comprise the second largest immigrant group in the US. In 8 significant states including Arizona, Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas there are about 1.3 million Indian Americans voters

Times of India reported, as per an analysis of the Asian American Pacific Islander or the AAPI, Indian American eligible to vote in battleground states varies from near 40,000 to as many as over 200,000. Some of these states are Texas: 475,000 voters, Florida: 193,000 voters, Pennsylvania: 156,000 voters, Georgia: 150,000 voters, Michigan: 125,000 voters, North Carolina: 111,000 voters, Arizona: 66,000 voters, Wisconsin: 37,000 voters.

Indian American Attitudes Survey was conducted by researchers from the University of Pennsylvania, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and Johns Hopkins University in partnership with the research and analytics firm YouGov. The report of which  says, “The data show that Indian-Americans continue to be strongly attached to the Democratic Party, with little indication of a shift toward the Republican Party”

As reported by Al Jazeera, 28 percent gravitate towards Trump, a notable jump from the 16 percent that voted red in the last presidential election.
