Bengaluru: HSR residents protested against Karnataka Compost Development Corporation (KCDC) unit set up and alleged that it was polluting the ground water.
The residents complained that the regulatory board has not yet provided any relief.
The protesters said that the composting plant which has been set up by the government is functioning more than its capacity.
The protestors also felt that a large amount of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) lying unattended on the premises was a safety hazard.
Over 6,000 citizens have signed an online petition with Jhatkaa on their air alert website demanding the shifting of the plant.
