Bengaluru: The deadline for the installation of High-Security Registration Plates (HSRP) has been extended to September 15, announced Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy.
Several extensions have already been granted for HSRP installation.
The court had also advised not to enforce any pressure until July 4. Considering these factors, vehicle owners have been given a final deadline until September 15, he said.
Approximately 2 crore vehicles need to have HSRP installed, and so far, about 25%, or 45 lakh vehicles, have complied, he informed.
