Hubballi factory fire: Three succumb to burn injuries

Hubballi:‎‎ Three of the eight persons injured in Saturday’s factory fire in the Tarihala Industrial Area here succumbed to their injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Malesha Basappa Hadannanavar (27) of Linganakoppa village in Kalaghatagi taluk, Vijayalakshmi Veerabhadra Yachchalagara (34) of  Tarihala in Hubballi and Gouramma Veerabhadraiah Hiremath (45).

The other injured, — Channamma M. Ariwala, Prema M. Ariwala, Nanimma M. Padadar, Mallikarehana B. Koppada, Nirmala S. H — are being treated at the KIMS hospital ofr burn injuries.

According to a PTI report, eight people had sustained burn injuries in the fire that broke out at a sparkler birthday candle manufacturing factory operating at the Tarihal Industrial Area. In no time the entire facility was in flames, police had said. Local residents said the factory was started only recently.
