Hubballi: A case has been registered at the Suburban Police Station in Hubballi against over 19 individuals, including the managing directors of a construction company, following an incident in which an iron rod fell on an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) during ongoing flyover construction work at Old Court Circle.

On Tuesday, Nabeeraj Jayapal Dayannavar (59), an ASI from Suburban Police Station and a resident of Rajajinagar, Dharwad Sattur, was seriously injured when an iron rod fell on his head while he was on his way to duty on a bike. He sustained severe injuries and is currently in critical condition in the ICU at KMC Hospital.

The ASI’s son, Vrishab, has lodged a complaint against the construction company’s three managing directors, project manager, project heads, supervisors, field engineer, labor contractor, and other workers involved in the flyover project. The case has been filed at the Suburban Police Station, holding them responsible for negligence leading to the accident.
