Hubballi: Youth succumbs to injuries following stabbing incident

A man who was critically injured in a stabbing incident on Monday night succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sameer Sheikh (19), a resident of Anand Nagar, Ghodke Flats, Old Hubballi.

The attack was reportedly triggered by a minor dispute involving children and an old rivalry. Muzammil, along with his accomplices, allegedly attacked Sameer Sheikh and his uncle, Javid Sheikh (32), near the Tabligh Mosque at Ghodke Flats.

Sameer sustained a severe stab wound to his abdomen, damaging his kidney and causing significant blood loss. He had been receiving treatment in the ICU at KMC Hospital but passed away at around 10 a.m. on Wednesday after failing to respond to treatment.

Javid Sheikh is still undergoing treatment, according to hospital sources.

A case has been registered at the Old Hubballi Police Station, and investigations are ongoing.
