Hubli: Jewellery shops open amid lockdown as prices soar

Hubli: Jewellery shops in the district opened on Friday, May 15 amid coronavirus lockdown, and jewelers are finding it difficult to purchase gold due to suspension of export.

The jewellery Prices have gone up and most of the jewellers are finding it difficult to purchase gold as exporters are not exporting amid lockdown. and on the other hand, there are only fewer customers and they too are refusing to buy as the gold have soared up, informed sources.

During the month of March, April and May many people buy jewellery and these are the crucial months to make income, however, due to lockdown the jewellers are facing a huge loss.
