Huge tree branch falls on former minister Motamma’s brother’s car, no casualty

Kottigehara: An incident of a huge branch of a tree falling on a moving car has been reported on Wednesday at Halemudigere of Mudigere taluk in Chikkamagaluru district.

Reportedly, Congress leader and former state minister C Motamma’s brother M S Ananthu and his family were said to have been in the car.

As per the CCTV footage accessed, in the incident that took place in the Mudigere Police Station limits, a huge branch of a tree is seen falling on the moving car.

Meanwhile, the sources have confirmed that M S Ananthu, his wife, and five others travelling in the car were safe.

It can be noted that the Chikkamagaluru district is experiencing very heavy rains with heavy winds, for the past few days.
