Hundreds bid adieu to Army soldier killed in Anantnag encounter

Chikodi: Hundreds of people bid a tearful adieu to Army commando Prakash Pundlik Jadhav (28) whose mortal remains were consigned to flames with full military honors in his native Chikkodi on Thursday, November 29.
Prakash was martyred during an encounter with terrorists at Anantnag Monday, November 26. He was successful in killing one terrorist before attaining martyrdom.
A large number of villagers had gathered to pay their last respects to the valiant soldier.
It is gathered that Bhojaraj was serving the Indian army from 2007. He was posted at Anantnag a few months ago. He had visited his family recently for Deepavali to meet his two-month-old daughter Shravani for the first time.
Prakesh is survived by father Pundlik, mother Sharada, wife Rani, and two-month-old daughter.
Chief Minister Kumaraswamy has announced Rs 45 lakh compensation to the Prakash’s family.
