Hosanagara tragedy: Husband dies in accident, wife ends life in grief on New Year’s Day

Hosanagara: A woman ended her life after learning about her husband’s death in a road accident on New Year’s Day in Sutha Village of Hosanaga Taluk, Shivamogga district.

Manjunath (25), a resident of the Shillekyathar camp of Melinabesige village, was injured in a bike accident near Shikaripura on December 31. He succumbed to injuries at 9:30 am on January 1.

Upon hearing the news, his wife, Amrutha (21), hanged herself at their home.

It is gathered that the couple, originally from Mysuru, were in a love relationship and had married 3 years ago.

Hosanagara police have visited the site and initiated further investigation.
