Hyundai launches Venue compact SUV in India at Rs.6.50 lakhs

Hyundai Venue, the all-new compact SUV has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs.6.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Venue is available with 13 variants in six trim levels – E, S, SX, SX Dual Tone, SX+ and SX(O). Hyundai offers the Venue with the choice of three engine options viz., 1.2-litre Petrol, 1.0-litre Petrol and 1.4-litre Diesel.

The diesel-powered Hyundai Venue gets the same 1.4-litre CRDi mill of Creta that is paired with a 6-speed Manual gearbox. The engine delivers a power of 89bhp and 220Nm of torque. The petrol engine options include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated unit which churns out 82bhp power and a 1.0-litre turbocharged motor delivering maximum power and torque outputs of 118bhp and 172Nm respectively. The 1.2-litre engine gets mated to a 5-speed Manual gearbox while the turbo-petrol mill with a 7-speed DCT Automatic gearbox.

Venue is the very first model of Hyundai to get the brand’s BlueLink connectivity technology with 33 connected features. The BlueLink tech will provide real-time traffic information, detects vehicle theft, track and immobilize the Venue and also will allow the owners to start the Venue remotely or open the doors, control the climate, sound the horn and control the light as well. Other highlights include the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, geofencing, SOS alert, Indian-accented English voice assist system, diamond cut alloy wheels, wireless charging and automatic climate control.

Hyundai Venue comes with 10 exterior colour options and three interior upholstery options and is available in the price range of Rs.6.5 lakhs to Rs.11.11 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The car is likely to take on its rivals Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport.
