Hassan: Clarifying his intentions and ideologies, actor and activist Prakash Rai made a statement on Thursday stating that he was not against Hinduism nor a supporter of ISIS. He lashed out at his detractors and addressed all politicians as thieves- some of them big, others small.

He urged that his ultimate motive was to find solutions by asking questions through his ‘Just Asking’ campaign. He also viewed the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh not exactly as a murder, but rather an attempt to silence the voices of those asking questions.

He reminded again that he was not for any particular political party, but only wanted to question the ideology of the political parties and the promises of its leaders. He appealed to the people to think and vote since all the ideologies ended in failure in the past.

Rai accused the BJP’s ideology as being influenced by the RSS and added that religion should not be mixed with politics. When asked about the Cauvery issue, Mr.Rai got emotional aand shed tears for the violence that has been created as a result of the dispute. He also answered other questions about his upcoming films and his future plans.
