Mangaluru: Actor Prakash Rai urged people to question the wrong doings happening in the political arena for the betterment of the society.
Rai called communal politics as a bigger cancer than corruption.
Addressing the media in the city here today, he said, “The press has played a major role in my life and their support is enormous in even highlighting my political thinking,”
“I don’t belong to any political party and I voice my opinion as a citizen of this country, but my statements have been manipulated in the past. At present, I am questioning the political situation of this country,” he said.
“I will not enter electoral politics, as there are a lot of loopholes in it,” he opined.
“I do not support a particular party, but I will talk against the communal favourism especially by the BJP party. Some think I am anti-hindu, which is not true,”he said.
Rai also urged voters not to fall prey to the lure or money or caste politics when exercising their franchise.
