A cryptic Tweet from BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, on Wednesday, has fanned rumors about his debut into politics. The tweet, which has now gone viral, says the former Indian cricketer is set to begin a new chapter of his life.
Ganguly made posted the tweet at around 5 PM on Wednesday. It read: “2022 marks the 30th year since the start of my journey with cricket in 1992. Since then, cricket has given me a lot. Most importantly, it has given me the support of all of you. I want to thank every single person who has been a part of the journey, supported me, and helped me reach where I am today. Today, I am planning to start something that I feel will probably help a lot of people. I hope you continue your support as I enter this chapter of my life.”

There was intense debate around the meaning of this tweet. Earlier this month, Ganguly had hosted union minister Amit Shah for dinner at his home in Kolkata.
Rumors soon followed that he has resigned from the post of BCCI President. However, BCCI secretary Jay Shah told that Ganguly hasn’t resigned from the post of BCCI president. ”The rumors doing rounds about Mr Sourav Ganguly stepping down from the post of BCCI President are factually incorrect,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in a statement issued to PTI.
