I might be steering away from it: Tarantino on his rumoured ‘Star Trek’ film

PTI, Dec 17, 2019, 2:33 PM IST

Los Angeles: Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino might be reconsidering his plans of directing an R-rated “Star Trek” film.

Tarantino has been for the longest time attached to the project, which he was reportedly developing with JJ Abrams, the director of two “Star Trek” films.

But in a conversation with Deadline, Tarantino said he might be “steering away” from the project but hasn’t taken a final decision.

“I might be steering away from it, but we’ll see. I haven’t completely decided, or talked to anyone involved. Nothing is official,” the director said.

In 2017, “The Revenant” screenwriter Mark L Smith was roped in to write the script.

It was reported that Tarantino and J J Abrams will produce and Tarantino may direct the Paramount Pictures project, which would mark his tenth feature project.
