I was not expecting DCM’s post: Laxman Savadi

Ballari: A day after state government-appointed district in-charge ministers, Deputy Chief Minister and Ballari district in-charge minister Laxman Savadi on Tuesday said that he was never expecting the DCM’s post as he was not an MLA, but now he has been made in-charge of the Ballari district and is very happy about it.

Addressing pressperson he said that the district in-charge ministers were appointed according to the Gujarat Model.

“The district in-charge ministers have been appointed according to the Gujarat Model by the Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa government in the state,” he added.

“When Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were running the Gujarat government, MLAs of the constituency were not appointed as district in-charge ministers to the same constituency from which they won,” he added.

Deputy Secretary (Administration) M B Vijaykumar, on Monday, September 16 appointed district in-charge ministers as per the directions of Governor of Karnataka Vajubhai Vala.
