IBPS issue: Pratap Simha, Tejasvi Surya meet Nirmala Sitharaman

New Delhi: BJP MP Pratap Simha, Tejasvi Surya and Shobha Karandlaje met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday to discuss about the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) issue.
It is gathered that Pratap Simha and Tejasvi Surya requested Sitharaman to reinstate 2014 notification which made knowledge of native language study till 10th grade mandatory to apply for Regional Rural Banks exams.
IBPS is governed by a board that includes nominees from government organisations such as the Reserve Bank of India, Ministry of Finance Government of India, Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai, Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, National Institute of Bank Management, Indian Banks’ Association and the public sector banks.
