Amid the controversy surrounding Kannada actor Darshan, actress Ramya has voiced her concern about the current state of affairs and the crimes involving the rich and powerful.
The ones breaking the law who have been in the news are the rich and powerful and the ones at the receiving end of their violent actions are the poor, women & children. The common people of Karnataka. Hats off to the police and media for bringing these crimes out. Justice will truly be done when trial is expedited and the cases are taken to their logical conclusion. If justice doesn’t prevail- then what message are we giving to the public?, she wrote on X with hashtags of Prajwal Revanna, Darshan, BS Yediyurappa, and Suraj Revanna.

Her tweet comes in the backdrop of Darshan’s arrest in the Renukaswamy murder case. The news has created quite a storm in the state with several demanding proper investigation and justice for Renukaswamy’s family.
In an earlier tweet too Ramya had demanded justice for the victim’s family.
It must be noted that former chief minister BS Yediyurappa has been booked in a POCSO case and JDS leader Suraj Revanna is also facing an allegation of sexual assault on a youth
