Chitradurga: Reprimanding D K Shivakumar on his allegation of selling rice meant for the poor, State urban development minister Byrathi Basavaraj stated that the government can never even think of such a thing.

Speaking to reporters at his Tippareddy residence, he stated that the government was genuinely working on delivering food to the poor.

He further stated that Shivakumar and Kumaraswamy are always looking for stones in the curd pot, hence such allegations are expected from them.

Responding to a question on the transfer of the Padarayanapura detainees to Ramanagara prison, he reacted that the transfer is being done considering safety measures and there is no intention to disturb the peace in Ramnagara.
