Belagavi: In a controversial statement BJP leader and former MLA Sanjay Patil on Thursday said that casting vote for Congress party meant that we are voting for Pakistan.
He made these remarks while campaigning for BJP candidate Anna Saheb Jolle from Chikkodi constituency.
Referring to Modi as a great patriot, Patil said that it is everyone’s responsibility to re-elect him to power.
“If you love India it means that you are voting for Modi. But if you vote for Congress, it means you are voting for Pakistan,” he added.
The bilingual leader who later spoke in Marathi added that Congress leaders say that they see a reflection of Indira Gandhi in Priyanka Gandhi but I see Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Narendra Modi.
