Mangaluru: Pre University students in the city protested over early commencement of classes.
As per the Government orders, academic year for 2018-19 for II PU commenced from May 2.
Students of private colleges took to streets to protest against this. Some students did not attend classes and protested for not giving adequate summer vacations.
“Some of us were forced to come to college until April 13. Its less than a month, we are forced to come to college. The college had promised us vacations till the end of May, but we are now compelled to come to classes, which is not fair,” they said.
