Illegal cattle transportation: Byndoor police rescue 26 cattle

Kundapur: In yet another case of illegal cattle transportation, Byndoor police on Tuesday, December 3 rescued 26 cattle, including calves and seized the Leyland truck in which the cattle were being transported.
Acting on credible information the police intercepted the truck plying from Bhatkal to Kundapur at Byndoor junction here at around 11 am. Upon checking the police found that the truck was transporting buffaloes and calves illegally and detained the truck driver as well as seized the vehicle.
A case has been registered in this connection.
