Illegal stone quarry: Explosion claims man’s life

Hebri: An accidental explosion at an illegal stone quarry claimed the life of a man on Monday April 22 and incident came to light on Tuesday April 23rd. The deceased has been identified as Purusha Naik

Mr Naik who was running an illegal stone quarry at on a government land at Muddur here used certain explosive material in the quarry on Monday. However, due to his carelessness, the explosion occurred much before the intended time gap killing him instantaneously, inform sources.

The location was visited by Hebri police and investigation revealed that the explosives were provided by a person identified as Eknath Bolar. The police have registered a case under Explosives Act against Naik and Eknath Bolar,
