Illegal transportation of cattle in Mangaluru: Three arrested; cows rescued

Mangaluru: Police officials who intercepted a pickup vehicle at Daddicross near Bajpe found cows being transported illegally and arrested three persons besides rescuing the cows from the vehicle on Wednesday, June 22.
The arrested accused have been identified as Shiva (60), Abdul Farooq (41) and Aboobakker (45).
The cows were being taken to an illegal slaughterhouse.
Police officials have seized the vehicle and the cows, the total cost is estimated at Rs 4,00,000.
