Illegally stored sand seized during midnight raid at Valachil

Mangaluru: A team of officials led by Mangaluru Assistant Commissioner, on Thursday night conducted raids at a premise where sand was being stored illegally.
Nearly 150 loads of sand, eight engines that were being used for sand mining, and five gas cylinders were confiscated during the raids conducted at government land at Adyarpadavu in Valachil
The value of all the confiscated items is estimated to be around Rs. 10 lakh.
