IMA Jewels fraud case has been handed over to SIT: HDK

Bengaluru: The office of Karnataka Chief Minister on Tuesday announced that it has ordered an inquiry by Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the IMA Jewels fraud case.

Bengaluru Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Tuesday tweeted that the probe has been handed over to a special investigation team in the IMA Jewels fraud case.

A tweet by the CM’s official Twitter handle said that considering the seriousness of the case, the inquiry has been handed over to SIT and instructions have been given to Karnataka DGP in this regard.

“Considering the seriousness of the #IMAJewels fraud, the inquiry has been handed over to a special investigation team and instructions regarding this have been given to the DGP.”

Meanwhile, if certain sources are to be believed it is said that the owner of IMA Jewels, Mohammed Mansoor Khan along with his grandmother, third and fourth wives and children has escaped from the country with Rs 1200 crore.
