IMD issues heavy rainfall warning across K’taka

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast for heavy rainfall across Karnataka on Saturday.

Bengaluru, the state capital, is expected to experience heavy rains.

Coastal districts such as Dakshina Kannada (DK), Uttara Kannada, and Udupi are likely to witness rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

In central Karnataka, districts including Davanagere and Chitradurga, as well as southern Karnataka districts like Bengaluru Rural, Chamarajanagar, Tumakuru, Shivamogga, Mandya, Mysuru, Chikkaballapura, Hassan, and Kodagu, are expected to receive significant rainfall.

North Karnataka districts of Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Koppal, Vijayapura are going to receive rainfall with thunder and lightning.
