The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a stern warning of ongoing rainfall in the coastal regions, prompting residents and authorities to remain vigilant.

A yellow alert was announced in the Dakshina Kannada district on September 21. Expectations are for substantial rainfall accompanied by strong winds on the 21st and 22nd in the specified region.

Throughout the week, coastal areas are anticipated to experience moderate rainfall, with intermittent thundershowers and gusty winds forecasted for select locations.

On Wednesday, certain segments of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts received moderate rainfall, while other areas enjoyed a mix of sunshine and cloud cover. Despite the rainfall, temperatures remained relatively high, with Mangalore recording a maximum temperature of 30°C and a minimum of 23°C on Wednesday.
