In a first, Asha worker dies of Covid-19 in state

Bengaluru: In a first, a 36-year-old Asha worker who died of Covid-19 in the state.
The deceased woman was a resident of Turbanhalli in Hesaraghatta and was working at the local Primary Health Clinic. However, the source of the infection is not known.
As per sources, she had developed symptoms on September 14, but there was a three-day delay in getting herself admitted to the hospital even though she had Type-2 diabetes. She was eventually admitted to Victoria Hospital and breathed her last there.
Her death comes weeks after Asha workers went on strike demanding protective equipment.
