In pics: Severe winds cause havoc as hoarding falls and trees uprooted

In a startling turn of events, Kottara of the city experienced chaos and destruction as heavy winds swept through, leaving behind a trail of havoc.
The gusty winds, which reached unprecedented speeds, caused significant damage, with hoardings being toppled and sturdy trees uprooted.
Residents and authorities were left grappling with the aftermath of the ferocious windstorm.
The locals said that the heavy gust of the wind started about 6:30 am and lasted about 15 to 20 mins.
Cleanup work is currently underway.
