Guwahati Police detained a person who trespassed into a house to steal some precious stuff but began cooking khichdi and preparing dinner for himself during the crime attempt in a hilarious and odd occurrence on Tuesday.
The event occurred in the Dispur police station region of Guwahati city, according to Guwahati city police Commissioner Harmeet Singh, who spoke to Aajtak/India Today TV over the phone.
According to Guwahati city police, the burglar entered a house in the Hengerabari neighbourhood and began cooking khichdi inside the property’s kitchen to prepare his dinner, which prompted locals to contact the police and catch the thief red-handed. The thief was later apprehended by the police.
The event occurred on Monday night, and Assam Police announced the arrest via its official Twitter account, which included a witty comment.
Assam police tweeted: “The curious case of a cereal burglar! Despite its many health benefits, turns out, cooking Khichdi during a burglary attempt can be injurious to your well being. The burglar has been arrested and @GuwahatiPol is serving him some hot meals.” (sic)
