Udupi: In a world where kids are obsessed over the internet and its current fads, a 10th grader from the district spends time capturing the beauty of nature’s gift in his camera.
Bird photography is the most popular genre of nature photography and Tejas, a fellow Bird photographer hailing from Santekatte is here to tell you that you don’t need to travel places with huge cameras to photograph birds.
Bird watchers in Udupi have reported 384 species of birds and out of which Tejas has photographed around 272 birds of different species in three years including Blue-eared kingfisher, Siberian Stonechat, Tri-coloured Munia, Lesser adjutant stork, Taiga Flycatcher, and Indian Pitta.
Tejas started photography in class 7 while he accompanied the members of Manipal Birders’ and Conservation Trust in bird watching. He uses a 700 D canon camera and 150-600 mm Tamron lens gifted by his parents, Ravindra K and Shailaja Rao.
Tejas who is currently a student at Little Rock School in Brahmavara aims to pursue a career in Science while he continues Bird photography as a hobby.
