India Post Payments Bank branch in M’luru opened

Mangaluru: The India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) branch in Mangaluru was was inaugurated by Union Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation D V Sadananda Gowda at a ceremony held at Town Hall here on Saturday September 1st.
The minister spoke on the occasion and said that nearly three lakh Dak Sevaks will be trained for the purpose of this payment bank which have over one lakh access points within the next six months.
The IPPB will offer a host of products including savings and current accounts, money transfers, bill and utility payments and direct benefit transfers, he said. A special cover on Indian Post Payment Bank was also released by the Minister during this event.
