Isuzu is planning to dispatch the new MU-X seven-situate SUV in India in the coming months. The SUV has been spied trying here various circumstances.
The MU-X imparts quite a bit of its styling to the D-Max V-Cross pick-up with a front fascia that is close indistinguishable, however the taxicab is currently reached out to cover the pick-up’s fiat bed and it includes a third column of seats and included familiar luxuries.
The rear styling, though, is unique with split horizontal tail-lamps and new bumper.
The cabin is similar to V-Cross’ with a dashboard inspired from that of the Trailblazer. Key differences include seats finished in leather, the inclusion of an automatic gearbox and roof mounted air-con vents for rear occupants.
Based on the Isuzu I-GRIP platform, the butch-looking MU-X comes with two powertrain options in international markets – a 150hp 1.99-litre (Codename: RZ4E-TC) and a 4JJ1-TCX 177hp 3.0-litre diesel engine with the motors paired to either a manual or automatic gearbox.
But yet it is unclear that which engine will come to India. Upon considering the test mule, one of the variants could be a four- wheel –drive automatic.
In addition to the above, rear wheel drive and manual gearbox equipped variants are also anticipated.
As per some source, it is heard that the Mu-X will be locally assembled at Isuzu’s Sri City plant in AP.
Key adversaries to the MU-X incorporate the Ford Endeavor, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the new Toyota Fortuner. Considering the forceful valuing for the V-Cross, a privately amassed MU-X could extremely undermine its adversaries and may set another evaluating benchmark in the section.
The Isuzu MU-7 might not have discovered numerous takers in India, but rather the new MU-X, with its sharp evaluating and expected gear rundown, could be a reasonable alternative for the Indian market.
