Indian Army officer, two soldiers killed in face-off with Chinese troops

New Delhi: An officer of the Indian Army and two soldiers have been killed following a violent face-off with Chinese troops at Ladakh’s Galwan Valley.

“During the de-escalation process underway in the Galwan Valley, a violent face-off took place last night with casualties on both sides,” the Indian Army said in a statement.

Senior military officials of the two sides are currently meeting at the venue to defuse the situation.
