Two Indian residents working in the UAE, Munavar Fairoos and Suthesh Kumar Kumaresan, experienced a delightful turn of fate as they emerged victorious in the recent Big Ticket draws held in the country.
Munavar Fairoos, a private driver based in Al Ain, was astounded to clinch the jackpot prize of 20 million UAE Dirhams during the Series 259 Big Ticket Live draw on December 31. His consistent ticket purchases over the past five years led to this unexpected windfall. However, Mr. Fairoos plans to share this substantial sum among 30 individuals who jointly contributed to the purchase of the winning ticket.
“I’m still shocked and will need to take some time to think about my options,” Mr. Fairoos conveyed to Big Ticket organizers upon learning about his substantial win, as reported by Gulf News.

Simultaneously, Suthesh Kumar Kumaresan, an engineer at Etihad Airways residing in Abu Dhabi, claimed the fourth weekly e-draw prize for December, securing a noteworthy 1 million UAE Dirhams. His habit of purchasing tickets at the in-store counters of Abu Dhabi International Airport during his travels paid off, with his seven-year-old daughter even contributing to the selection of winning numbers.
Mr. Kumaresan expressed excitement within his family circle, outlining plans to utilize the funds to acquire a home in India and alleviate existing financial obligations, notably paying off accrued interest, according to insights from Khaleej Times.
