Indian Ice Cream Manufacturers Association submit petition to Prez Murmu, seek support for industry’s growth

A delegation of the Indian Ice Cream Manufacturers Association recently met and submitted a petition to President Draupadi Murmu, urging her to address the key challenges faced by the ice cream industry.
The delegation, in their petition, sought a reduction in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on ice cream and frozen desserts as it would boost the sector.
Pointing out that the industry has tremendous potential to expand both domestically and internationally, the delegation highlighted specific prospects in this regard to the President during the meeting.
Detailed discussions were held on the future challenges and opportunities awaiting the ice cream industry in India.
The delegation included Indian Ice Cream Manufacturers Association President Sudhir Shah, Chairman Rajesh Gandhi, South Regional Vice President Ashish A. Nahar, and Secretary Pradeep G. Pai among others.
