India’s Tiktok rival app Mitron logged over 5 million installs in one month

While Aarogya Setu is the most downloaded app in India, the second in the list is the Mitron app.
It is released by an IIT Roorkee student Shivank Agarwal, Mitron App is a clone of TikTok and lets users share typical short videos on the platform.
Recently, there was #BanTikTok campaign on social media platforms after a video glorifying acid attack emerged on it. People gave 1 star review to Tiktok on the Google Play Store and the ratings of the app is down to 1.3 stars from 4.5 stars.
The Mitron app is a free short video sharing app and a social platform for users to share content online. Similar to tiktok, users need to sign up to upload their own videos. After signing up, they can tap on the record button, edit the video and then tap ‘Publish’ to upload the video. One can also follow other users to watch their uploaded content on the app.
Mitron app has already logged over 5 million installs and is currently said to be enjoying half a million installs per day.
