Indira Canteen inaugurated at Mangaluru

Mangaluru: State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, U T Khader and Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment B Ramanath Rai inaugurated Indira canteen at Ward No. 46 near Nehru Maidan today.
The ambitious project by the Congress led State government to help the daily wagers and other economically weaker sections will serve food at subsidized rate. Vegetarian breakfast will only cost Rs 5, and lunch and dinner will be served at Rs 10 each.
Indira Canteen will serve idli on all seven days for breakfast and also serve Puliyogare on Monday, kharabaath on Tuesday, pongal on Wednesday, rava khichdi on Thursday, chitranna on Friday, Vangibaath on Saturday and kesaribath on Sunday.
For lunch and dinner, white rice, sambhar or curd rice will be available at Rs 10.
MLA JR Lobo, Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil, Mayor Kavitha Sanil and others were present during the inauguration.
