‘Indira Transport’, Exclusive Bus Service Meant for Women to be Launched in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Karnataka state government will launch new transport facility in Bengaluru which is exclusively meant for women and children on the occasion of Indira Gandhi birth centenary celebrations on November 19, said state transport minister HM Revanna speaking in a function organised at Kempegowda Bus Station on November 4 in Bengaluru.
The new transport facility is named as ‘Indira Transport’ and will function under local transport service provider BMTC. Students and women will get the facility in selected areas of the city, the minister added.
The new facility is being implemented to ensure the safety and interest of the women, minister added. He also informed on the occasion that 3,000 buses have been entered into the roads in Bengaluru to provide better transport facilities to the public.
