Infosys Foundation extends INR 18 Crore aid to govt schools

Bengaluru: Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Infosys, has extended a help of Rs18 crores for imparting computer education in the government schools of Karnataka.
An announcement in this regard was made in a meeting between Infosys Foundation chief Sudha Murthy and primary and secondary education minister S Suresh Kumar.
Sudha Murthy also assured additional funding if required.
1,000 schools will be identified for the teacher’s training program. Once the list is completed, the state government will sign an MoU with the Foundation, Minister Suresh Kumar informed.
