Infosys partners Astound for automated services, support for enterprises

New Delhi: IT services major Infosys today said it has partnered with Astound, an enterprise software company applying machine learning and natural language processing, to automate services and support for enterprises.

Through this partnership, Astound’s artificial intelligence (AI) platform will be embedded into Infosys Enterprise Service Management Cafe to deliver AI-driven automation to large enterprises and their employees, Infosys said in a statement.

No financial details of the partnership were disclosed.

India-South Africa Biz Summit: Prabhu discusses ways to boost trade, investments * 

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu attended the India-South Africa Business Summit last week and discussed ways to boost trade and investments among various countries.

The two-day summit concluded on April 30 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

“The visit (of Prabhu) began with a series of bilateral meetings. He met Rob Davies, minister of trade and industry of South Africa, and ministers from Swaziland, Botswana and Lesotho,” an official statement said today.

The minister also met members of India-South Africa CEOs forum.

Asus X507 series notebook to contibute 30% to India biz: Leon Yu * 

Taiwanese PC maker Asus expects its X507 series notebook to contribute 30 per cent to its India business this fiscal.

“We expect X507 series notebook to contribute around 30 per cent of total sales of Asus in India in this financial year,” Asus India regional head for South Asia and India Leon Yu said on the sidelines of an event to announce partnership with e-commerce firm Paytm Mall.
