Chamarajanagara: An injured tiger was rescued and sent to Chamundi Wildlife Conservation, Rescue and Rehabitation Centre in Mysuru district on Sunday.
The tiger strayed out of Bandipur National Park. The tiger had injured itself in a fight.
The tiger had attacked a cow at Chilakahalli but had to abandon the attack half way after villagers raised a hue and cry. The cow sustained bite marks on its body.
Sources say that the injured tiger was weak and probably might have not eaten for a couple of days prompting it to attack the cow which was easy prey.
