INS Shardul arrives at M’luru port with medical oxygen gifted by Kuwait’s Indian diaspora

Mangaluru: The Indian Naval Ship ‘Shardul’ arrived here on Tuesday morning carrying liquid oxygen gifted by the Indian Community Support Group in Kuwait.

The naval ship brought 11 liquid oxygen tankers, 2 semi-trailers with liquid oxygen and 1200 oxygen cylinders.

Indian Red Cross Society’s Dakshina Kannada district Chairman Shantharam Shetty, Secretary Prabhakar Sharma and the Society’s State Management Committee member Yathish Baikampady received the consignment at the New Mangalore Port Trust.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra KV, Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar, DyCP Hariram Shanker, ACP Mahesh Kumar and Coast Guard Commander Venkatesh were also present during the handover procedure.
