Inter-state Ganja smuggling racket busted: 7 held, 44.630 kgs of Marijuana seized

Mangaluru: Central Crime Branch (CCB) police busted an inter-state ganja smuggling racket by seizing 44.630 kgs of Marijuana worth Rs 9.75 lakhs

In two separate operations, CCB officials have arrested 7 people including Telangana-based Vithal Chauhan, Bidar resident Sanjeev Kumar, Kallappa, Bantwal based Azeez, Moideen Hafeez, Mohammed Hafeez and Sandeep.

Officials have also seized two cars and a two-wheeler along with Rs 23.25 lakhs worth of assets from the accused.

It is said that the team had networks in Dakshina Kannada and Kasaragod districts and were involved in supplying of ganja to college students.
