International Day of Happiness 2021: “Happiness For All, Forever”

The International Day of Happiness is observed every year all over the world on March 20 to acknowledge the importance of happiness in the lives of people around the world.
The International Day of Happiness was founded by Jayme Illien, CEO of the United Nations New World Order project in 2006. The day is being celebrated since 2013 by the UN.
The resolution of International Happiness Day was led by the country, Bhutan, which prioritizes the value of happiness over income. Bhutan also has a Gross National Happiness over Gross National Product.
The theme of International Day of Happiness for this year is “Happiness For All, Forever”
The World Happiness Report 2021 was released by United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network on Friday. The report claimed that the pandemic has taken over the general happiness and well-being of the people.
Finland was ranked as the happiest country in the world, for the fourth time in a row, and Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, and the Netherlands followed in second, third, fourth, and fifth positions, respectively. India ranked 139 out of 149 countries in the report.
Afghanistan was ranked the least happy nation.
