Udupi: The state government, in a notification issued on Wednesday appointed N Vishnuvardhana as Superintendent of Police of Udupi district with immediate effect.
His appointment came within a day of Hakay Akshay Machhindra’s replacing Nisha James as Superintendent of Police of Udupi.
As per Wednesday’s notification, Hakay has now been posted as Superintendent of Police, Anti Naxal Force (ANF), Karkala, Udupi district.
Vishnuvardhana, who was Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration, Bengaluru, had earlier served as Additional Superintendent of Police in Udupi district.
