Bengaluru: When the PSI recruitment scam is still raging in the state, irregularities have come to the fore in the recruitment of the Fire and Emergency Services Department.
The Deputy Director of Fire Department T N Shivashankar has filed a complaint with the Bharatinagar Police alleging irregularities in the certificates submitted by seven recruitees of the department. These candidates had submitted fake SSLC marks cards and gained employment in the recruitment held in 2020 by the Fire department, the complaint alleges.
Based on the complaint, police have registered a case against Dharanappa (21), Vithole Ningappa (29), Moulasab Shamshed (27), Eerappana Rudrodagi Neelappa (24), Mallappa Maruthi (27), Ramesh Halenoor Prabhakar (26), and Sharifsaab Yamanoorsaab (26).
The seven accused have been asked to present themselves at the police station with the original marks card certificates for verification, sources said.
