IT Dept Seizes Property Documents worth Rs 800 Cr from Astrologer, Close Associate of Karnataka Minister DK Shivakumar

Bengaluru: Income Tax (IT) officials raided the residence of Dwarakanth, an Astrologer and close associate of Karnataka State Energy Minister, DK Shivakumar on Thursday in Bengaluru and found documents of Rs 800 crore worth property. The astrologer reportedly purchased Rs 800 core worth hospital and DK Shivakumar invested the amount to purchase the property in Bengaluru.
Two sons of the astrologer work as doctors and in an attempt to support them, he planned to purchase a hospital in the city. Following his inability to gather the amount of Rs 800 crore, the minister invested his money to purchase the hospital.
The IT officials seized property documents, joint agreement bonds and others which belong to DK Shivakumar from the residence of the astrologer. Hard disks which contain the visuals of CCTV installed at the residence of Dwarakanath have also been seized by the IT officials for further investigation.
