IT officials raid resort owned by Congressman

Badami: In a noteworthy shock for the Congressmen, Income Tax (IT) authorities directed raid at a resort and hotel belonging a Congressman Anand Singh on Monday late night in Badami. This likewise happens to be the constituency from where Chief Minister Siddaramaiah would challenge in the upcoming elections. 

As per sources, a group of 10 authorities, including a joint chief of Income Tax conducted the raid at Krishna Heritage Resort and Hotel Mayura late on Monday night and seized around Rs.13 lakh. 

Authorities seized Rs.11 lakh from the Krishna Heritage and Rs.2.5 lakh from Hotel Mayura, it is said 

Minister R B Thimmapur and MLC C M Ibrahim were available in the resort at the time of the raid. When CM visited Badami for the election campaign recently stayed at the same resort.
